Only 6 members attended the Club last Saturday which is not surprising in view of the fact that it was Australia Day.
One member completed  Air Pistol Practice without returning a score.
A second member spent several hours on an excavator and finally gained access to the floor of Range 3 to undertake some remedial work on earth walls and removing rubble which has fallen into the range over the years.
Three  members contested the Centre Fire Match and one the Ladies 25 m Pistol Match with varying degrees of success.
Match of the day next Saturday will be Standard Pistol commencing at 1 pm

The NSW Junior Coaching Camp held at the Club last week is now done and dusted and all the juniors who attended would have made it home last night.
By all reports, the Camp was a great success.
Glen Innes Junior Cooper shot a tremendous Air Pistol Match on Thursday improving his personal best score by 99 points and having 89 points shaved from his handicap. I understand that he also showed great improvement in the Junior Sport Pistol Match training. Well done Cooper. 
Only five persons contested the Centre Fire/Sport Pistol Match of the day Saturday in blistering conditions and, with one exception, the scores reflected the terrible conditions.
Match of the day next Saturday is again Centre Fire/Sports Pistol commencing at 1pm.

Saturday saw a group of 6 members contesting the 25 m Rapid Fire Pistol match and 6 members and visitors contesting the 25 m Black Powder Match
The two Bruce's pushed each other to the end in Rapid Fire with Bruce F beating Bruce Q by 1 point returning scores of 571 and 570 respectively.
The black powder Match had a wide Range of scores with Bob (visitor from Sydney) taking the honours with a score of 342.
In the late afternoon, the bus carrying 10 of the NSW Juniors arrived for the Junior Coaching Clinic being held all week at the Glen Innes Pistol Club complex.
Coaches, Chaperones and helpers arrived either Friday or Saturday to help make the week a success for all Juniors in attendance. One of our local Junior members has now also joined the visitors to further his training and skills over the week.

Centre Fire and Sport Pistol will be the matches of the day next Saturday commencing at 1 pm

A hand full of members attended the first club day for 2019 on Saturday with two practicing Standard Pistol, another giving our newest Junior additional coaching to prepare him for the Junior Coaching Clinic to be held at Glen Innes Pistol Club from 13/1/2019 to 19/1/2019 and another doing some work with heavy machinery to gain access to our 50 metre Range
Bruce was shooting particularly well after a break of about 1 month and shot a score of 100 for his first two series of 20 Seconds in Standard Pistol (see photo below) and would have recorded a score in excess of 570 if the practice match had been fully scored.
Matches of the day next Saturday are Rapid Fire Pistol and 25 m Black Powder commencing at 1 pm.
Juniors will be arriving for the Coaching Camp on Sunday and departing the following Saturday for home.
