Our second Open shoot for 2017 was a great success and, although Competitor Numbers were down slightly, the number of Matches entered was very similar to previous Open Events held.
We were very fortunate to receive a substantial donation from White Rock Wind Farm towards the cost of our trophies which helped to make the weekend a strong financial success.
There was some excellent scores recorded over the weekend and for the first time in recent events, there was not one Grade Break.

Men's 5 Match Aggregate was won by Bruce Quick with Amanda Graham winning the Ladies 3 Match Aggregate and Kristyn Tom winning the Junior Aggregate.

Six members and a visitor from Newcastle Pistol Club attended the Club last weekend with Standard Pistol being the match of the day.
Our visitor  (who is working on one of the new Wind farms) did not wish his name to be published, has not been shooting very long and has only just acquired his first pistol ( a brand new pistol at that)  received some assistance from members  sighting it in and promptly showed the members a clean set of heels shooting a 429 - a tremendous effort for an inexperienced "D" Grader shooting with a brand new pistol.
All ranges are closed for the week commencing next Saturday morning (9/9/2017) to enable all the facilities to be cleaned and prepared for our September Open to be held 15,16 and 17/9/2017.
There is a fair bit of work to do so the committee would appreciate as much help as possible. Assistance with mowing and edge trimming are the main areas of concern outside, however, all the 25 metre targets have to be prepared and the Club House has to be thoroughly cleaned.
