Though there were no official matches shot on Saturday 30/7/11 there were still a few shots fired. Mary Funnell had her first supervised shot with a .22 and received some shooting tips from Wayne Unicomb. Also the Gobberts came over and fired a few on Range 1.

Saturday 23/07/11 was a beautiful day for a shoot. With the sun shining and only a slight nip to the wind we converged on the club to shoot Rapid, but then somebody suggested we shoot Standard instead, so we did that.
The match was progressing nicely and Tracey Gardner was showing marked improvement, her recent practice paying dividends when so impressed by one of her series she……...........well lets just say she got pretty excited about her grouping. In the final series Trevor Rees fired a little late on his final shot causing the projectile to hit the target at the 8 ring, skid to the 10 ring, then go behind the target only to re-emerge at the 5 ring and cut a neat line to the edge of his target. Pictures of him and his target can be viewed on the photo gallery page. All in all it was a great day with a lot of laughter. The results can be viewed on the weekly results page.
