Service Pistol was contested on Wednesday for a change this week and we saw Andrew Funnell win with a personal best. Service will be run on Wednesday again on agreed days - service shooters will be notified in advance. Club members are encouraged to make any suggestions for variations in the club calendar that will improve attendance. One variation to be tried will be WA1500 - any holster qualified shooter may attend. Shooters will be briefed on the match prior to shooting. If you are not holster qualified see Wayne or Rick to gain qualification.

I have contacted Firearms Registry in regard to the article on high capacity pistol magazines in the latest NSWAPA Focus. Several Club members have pistols potentially affected by this and have expressed some concern. FAR have told me that negotiations are ongoing with NSWAPA and that all affected pistol owners will be contacted when a final decision is made. For now, any member having difficulties with this matter (say because of an inspection) should refer the matter to the licence section of FAR. Remember - you may not alter a pistol magazine in any way!
