Scores for the last two weeks have now been added to the 2020 Competition Results page.
As we slowly emerge from the Covid 19 Restrictions, we are seeing a gradual increase in attendances with 6 attending and competing a week ago and 7 yesterday
Next weekend, the match of the day will be Standard Pistol commencing at 1 pm

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND MEMBERSHIP PAYMENTS

Members are reminded that the Club's AGM is to be held the following weekend being 8th August and membership must be received by the Club Treasurer before the commencement of that meeting (SCHEDULED TO START AT 2.30 PM) to avoid lapse of your membership. The Secretary is required by law to advise both Firearms Registry and NSW Amateur Pistol Association full details of any member who has not paid his/her membership by that date. 
The Committee thanks those members who have already paid their membership. Please remember to present your "Blue" Grading Card to Kerri Tom to have your membership status updated as this is your proof of membership for the year 

After much discussion between members of the Committee, we have reluctantly decided to cancel our September Open this year due to the ongoing uncertainty with Covid19.

Whilst we believe we could have arranged squadding of each match (with some difficulty) to comply with present Health Department Restrictions, the major cause of concern was being able to cater to our usual standard while meeting all Health Department Guidelines with Table Service of all meals, social distancing, frequent wipe down of all hard surfaces both in the Club House and benches etc. on ranges and, the fact that many of our regular visitors are in high risk groups with Health Issues or their Age Group - and the list goes on.

The decision ended up being made on the basis that it was better to be safe rather than be sorry.

Hopefully, the Covid19 situation will be resolved enough to enable the Club to hold our usual February Open in 2021.

Again, the weather was not all that pleasant for outdoor shooting and those that attended the Club on Saturday elected to contest an Air Pistol Match in lieu of the advertised Rapid Fire and Black Powder matches.
Wayne acted as Range Officer and five members contested the match with varying success with Michelle recording very close to her personal best after almost 3 months without firing a shot and Dick only a few points below his PB. 
​Next weekend, Centre Fire/Sports Pistol are the matches of the day commencing at 1pm

Our return to shooting after the three plus months break due to Covid19 turned into a bit of a "fizzer" with only 5 members attending the Club for our first day back, however, the cold conditions were far less than inviting with the temperature ranging from 5 degrees at 10 am and climbing to a mighty 8 degrees by about 1 pm but the cold winds kept the "feels like" temperature below 2 degrees all day.
Bob, Trevor and Ian contested a Standard Pistol Match while Bruce undertook some Air Pistol Practice and Wayne acted as Range Officer.
The scores returned certainly reflected the fact that no one had fired a shot for over three months but scores should improve over coming weeks with more practice now that we can now enjoy our sport and facilities again.

The matches next weekend are Rapid Fire and Black Powder although it is now highly unlikely that Black Powder will proceed.
