Our two newest members received further instruction on a separate Range and learned the basics of a Sport Pistol Match and both acquitted themselves very well considering the short time they have been shooting Pistol
Three prospective new members from the one family received some initial coaching and are now getting all the necessary documentation together so that can proceed to join the Club and obtain Licences. Three other members attended with one passing on some of his vast knowledge with initial coaching of our three prospective new members, another attending to some membership matters and a third acted as non shooting Range Officer.
Next weekend is a Long weekend and long weekends notoriously have poor attendances, however as all our Local Range Officers and persons deemed competent to run matches to comply with our Range Licence are unable to attend due to other commitments and the planned matches for the weekend traditionally have a low attendance record.
As a result, the executive have reluctantly decided to close the ranges next weekend and re=open them on 16th June with Centre Fire and Sport Pistol being the matches of the day commencing at 1 pm.
The ISSF National Championships commence at the Belmont Shooting Complex on Wednesday and will run through to Sunday 10th June. Scores should be updated progressively on the Pistol Australia Facebook site for anyone interested.
