Due to COVID restrictions last year and the cancellation of our February shoot this year due to delays beyond our control in the construction of the new building, we have not hosted an Open event for almost 2 years which has significantly impacted the Club's financial position - with interest shown over the last month, we expect this Open event to be very successful both in terms of visitors and financially.
There have been a few Air Pistol matches contested over the last month but the focus has been on completing the fit out of the new building.
Most of the Council demanded upgrade to Drainage is now complete with only the finishing touches to be completed now.
The beam on which the eyebrow baffles will be suspended was fitted last Saturday and we expect to start hanging the baffles this Saturday.
The new and much improved design Bay Dividers are being manufactured now and should be installed in about 2 weeks leaving only a tidy up of ranges and a little landscaping before we return to shooting 25 metre matches each weekend.
Obviously, completion of these major works will be a welcome relief to members and hopefully will see an improvement in weekly attendances.
