February is coming to a close after a very busy few weeks and, apart from the Open a week ago, not a lot of shooting with the new front entrance being much more time consuming than anticipated but now complete and much more user friendly.
The Open was a great success although competitor numbers and matches contested were less than we would have liked. A positive at the Open was the number of new visitors with two from Sydney, 4 from Armidale and another from the Lismore area and, without exception, all were pretty impressed with the club, the facilities and they way the event was organised and run all weekend.
Scores from the Open weekend are included in the file attached to the bottom of this post.
Men's 5 Match Aggregate winner was Nathan Blackburn and Ladies 3 Match Aggregate winner was Valerie Nacaisse.
The storms today discouraged members from attending but two of us managed to get a 48 shot WA1500 match in and do some testing of loads and projectiles before the wet weather arrived.
Match of the day next weekend will be Standard Pistol and, hopefully, the weather and attendance numbers will improve for the day.
