With only one member turning up for the working bee last Saturday and 7 on Sunday, not quite all the planned work was completed, However, another 2-3 hours of daylight Sunday would have seen this achieved. There are a couple of volunteers planning to reaffix the iron on the roof of the Range building and complete another couple of minor tasks to complete the reconstruction before the end of the week.
The wet ground has hindered progress as well making it very difficult to level the ground where the machinery had been operating installing the Concrete blocks in the retaining wall and doing a final clean up of that area.
There is a further working bee this Saturday to do the usual clean up around the facility in readiness for our September Open to be held 14,15 & 16 September, 2018 including sweeping ranges and paths, cleaning the Club House and generally tidying the facility up ready for our visitors at the Open.
Entries for the Open close today with 44 entries received to date making this one of the best September Opens in terms of entries received and matches contested over the last 15 years. Entries will be continue to be accepted over the next few days subject to available range capacity for the various matches wishing to be contested.
