There were three 25 metre Black Powder Matches, two 25 Yard Service Matches and five Air Pistol Matches "contested" yesterday.
Fair to say less "relaxation" and more "exercise" is required for most participants
Scores will be placed on the results page this afternoon
Our newest member also gained some training in Sport Pistol before shooting an Air Pistol Match and later trialled a 25 Metre Service Pistol Revolver and a 25 Metre Black Powder Pistol and, from her reaction enjoyed the exposure immensely.
UPDATE 1
Work is progressing very well on the 1st stage of restoration of the termite damage in the club house with all structural work on the first section now complete and the wall cladding re-installed and ready for joint finishing and painting.
There are still two other internal walls to be repaired over coming months but with lessons learned with the first section, should be much quicker and easier to complete.
UPDATE 2
Demolition of the Shooting bay building on Ranges 1 & 2 is now due to commence in about two weeks with the Builder Contractors anticipating an approx 4 week time frame to demolish the old building and erect the new steel and colour bond building on a new Concrete floor.
On completion and final approval from the Local Council, there will be two or three days work for members to complete the fitout with new seating, new bay dividers, painting of the new Firing Line and re-installing the baffles etc ready for use.
